Weekend pourri au Pilanesberg / miserable weekend in the Pilanesberg
(English version below)
On
The weather forecast had announced a wet and
miserable weekend, and they were right! It rained and rained and rained!
We had planned to go to the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve, and although the
motorway was closed down all morning - which meant it took us 3 hours instead
of 1h45 to get there), and the dreadful weather, we still went. We even had a
picnic!
And we had fun!!!!! The only problem, with a impact on you, is the lack of
light. The photos are quite dark. Sorry about that.
As soon as we came int the park, we found ourselves face to face with an lonely
elephant walking on the road. The cars on the other side had to reverse, we
were lucky we just had to follow it. It knocked down a couple of trees on its
way - not joking - and it was great to have plenty of time to watch it!
