J'ai proposé l'an dernier un carnet sur le thème "A Table!" (ICI), et maintenant je viens de terminer un deuxième carnet sur le thème du café.
Last year I made a sketchbook on the theme "A Table! (= "tea's ready!)" (see HERE), now I've just completed one on the theme of coffee.
Mon idée? Le poids ou l'influence d'un petit grain de café sur la langue, les lieux, l'ameublement, les objets, les arts, la vie quoi...
My idea? The weight or influence of a tiny coffee bean on language, places, furniture, objects, arts, in other words life...
Voici le carnet accordéon déployé:
Here's the zigzag sketchbook unfolded:
une fleur qui sent le jasmin, un fruit qu'on appelle cerise, ...??? Oui! Voici une plante spéciale!
A flower that's smells jasmine, a fruit that's called cherry, ...??? Yes! Here's a very special plant!
It's a sketchbook blog on specific themes (except travel sketches) by various artists and it will also be an exhibition in France. The projetc was watercolour artist Izys's idea. The themes are varied (animal, vegetal, shoes, dreams or nightmares, à table (= let's eat, or tea's ready), ...) and the creations are absolutely stunning! I'm amazed at each new sketchbook presented on the blog! Go and check this blog if you don't know it! No need to speak the language to appreciate the sketches! Just browse through the albums where each sketchbook is presented in full.
... and don't forget, everybody can participate! So why not join the project? If you are interested, I can translate the 'rules and regulations' for you, just ask me!
