Statue III finished
Ma "Statue dans une nuit d'été" est finie. Je pense. Voici d'abord l'ancienne version, suivie de la nouvelle / 'Midsummer night's statue' is finished. I think. Here's the first version, and the second (and last) one.

Je ne sais pas si les changements seront visibles à l'écran, car il s'agit de nuances de couleurs. Je le trouve plus unifié. / I don't know if the changes will be visible on the screen, because it's only a question of hues... I wanted it to have more unity.

Statue dans une nuit d'été / Midsummer night's Statue
Pour une fois, le titre m'est venu facilement. Va comprendre... / For once, I found the title immediately. (Thanks Will!)
Il reste quelques mini retouches, mais j'avais trop envie de savoir ce que vous en pensiez... / There are still a few things I want to touch up, but I was dying to show it and to see what you'd say...

Modification
Cela faisait longtemps que je me promettais de modifier ce tableau, c'est chose faite. Vous en rappelez-vous? Clic clic ici si vous avez oublié.
I had meant to change this painting a litlle, and now, it's done. Do you remember it? Click here if you don't.
En bas à droite, il y avait un bout de fleur d'hortensia qui faisait sortir le regard du tableau. / At the bootom on the right, there was a piece of hydrangea flower that drew the eyes out of the painting.
Je l'ai remplacé par ça / I replaced it by this:

J'aime cette forêt mystérieuse, cette végétation envahissante - et je pense que cela plaira à Karine, non? ;-) / I love this mysterious and luscious vegetation...
Il va falloir attendre pour les versions III et peut-être même IV. Elles sont en cours...

Statue I, tableau fini / The Statue I, finished
Je vous l'avais montré en cours mais pas fini(là); je viens de le terminer / I had shown this canvas (here) but it wasn't finished, now here it is finished:
La dernière fois, je n'aimais pas que le jardin soit si net; je trouvais qu'il volait la vedette à la statue. J'ai essayé de le rendre plus flou, et je l'aime mieux ainsi.
Last time, the garden was too present and it was difficult to determine the main subject. So I tried to make the foliage more blurred and less crisp and I like it much better this way.
J'ai refait (ou je vais refaire) cette statue de différentes façons. Vendredi je vous montre la version 2 (que je préfère) / I've painted (or I'm going to paint) this statue in different ways. On Friday, don't miss the second version (which I already prefer)

Statue - pas fini / statue - not finished
Je n'ai pas réussi à rendre ce que je voulais, le regard se perd et ne sait où se poser. Mais j'aime tellement cette statue, et cette lumière que vous allez très certainement la revoir...
I haven't managed to do what I wanted, the eyes don't know what to look at. But I like this statue and this light so much, that you are most certainly going to see it again...

Après les portraits, j'avais envie de changer... / after the portraits I wanted to try something different...
cela ne se voit pas bien à l'écran, mais j'ai essayé différents effets de matières: mat, granuleux, brillant, satiné, ...
You can't see it very well on the screen, but I tried different textures: matt, glossy, sand-like, satin-finish...
