Walking in Zimbabwe

En allant aux chutes Victoria, on a fait un petit bout de route au Zimbabwe, et là encore une fois, j'ai repéré ces femmes qui marchent When we went to see the Victoria Falls, we drove a little in Zimbabwe, and there again, I spotted a few women walking...

Bord de route / Side of the road 29

A la sortie de notre résidence, l'après midi, les femmes attendent le bus pour rentrer chez elles. Je les vois souvent assises ainsi sur l'herbe. Just outside our residence, in the afternoon, women are waiting for the bus to go back home. I often see...

Parapluies

Je vous rappelle que les parapluies servent ici aussi beaucoup (surtout?) à se protéger du soleil... May I remind you that here umbrellas are often used to get some shelter from the sun ... Voici deux croquis (pas très réussis mais bon) sur les routes...

Tsonga

Juste avant d'arriver à Tzaneen dans le Limpopo, nous avons croisé cette femme de la communauté des Tsonga. Just before we arrived in Tzaneen, Limpopo, we saw that Tsonga woman walking on the side of the road.

La femme au parapluie rose / The woman with a pink umbrella

Le soleil était éclatant en ce jour de septembre sur les routes du Limpopo. Cette femme portait de si jolies couleurs... C'est peut-être pourquoi j'ai eu envie de la peindre plusieurs fois: The sun was very bright that September day on the Limpopo roads....

Artiste voyageuse, qui se promène entre acrylique et aquarelle, mais toujours prête à découvrir, goûter, expérimenter. Après 5 ans en Afrique du Sud qui ont teinté ses pinceaux d'une pointe de pigment pur, preque 3 ans à Rome, la voici maintenant de retour en France.

Cathy is an artist who loves travelling between acrylic and watercolour. She's always ready to discover and experiment. After living 5 years in South Africa, then spending nearly 3 years in Rome, Italy, she is now back in France.
